New leadership and vision enhances the soccer experience on and off the field
SEATTLE, WA (November 5, 2012) – Korrio (korrio.com), a cloud-based service for organizing and sharing youth sports, announced today its selection by Methuen Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) as its official sports automation service. Korrio provides the administrative and communications tools required to get players on the field and an online environment for staff, families and fans to share and build community.
Launched in 1986, Methuen Youth Soccer has grown to become an organization that services over 1,000 players annually through In-Town and Travel programs. MYSA offers In-Town recreational soccer to children ages 4-12. Through their membership with Essex County Youth Soccer, MYSA provides a competitive Travel program within the Merrimack Valley area for children between the ages of 8-18. Over the years, MYSA has accepted children from all neighboring towns if their community does not offer their own In-Town program. This outreach is supported by a MYS driven scholarship program to ensure the best experience for every child.
“I feel fortunate to have a Board of Directors within MYSA that works and acts as a team in everything we do. We are eager to bring MYSA into the future. Korrio was a unanimous first step. We want to streamline the administrative work so we can focus on the important things like having fun with the kids, teaching them the game and helping develop them as players. Korrio will make this possible, beginning with registration,” said Danielle Osorio, MYSA President. “We are committed to our new vision and want to the focus to be on building our city’s soccer community in a new and exciting way.”
Korrio integrates web, mobile and social networking to provide coaches, administrators, parents and players with a comprehensive and easy-to-use online home. Each user has a customized view into their team and club and receives real-time updates on important schedule, location and event details. The platform also streamlines and automates essential administrative tasks, such as registration, payment processing, roster creation, game/practice scheduling and web hosting.
Steve Goldman, CEO and Founder of Korrio commented, “Helping recreational programs like Methuen Youth Soccer has lasting value for every stakeholder. Using Korrio allows them to put focus and energy into player and coaching development. Applying contemporary technology to youth sports can re-energize an organization. It’s clear that MYS has a vision that focuses on the player. They will serve a model for like-minded sports clubs and organizations.”
