Strikers United, a program of Massachusetts based Acton Boxborough Youth Soccer (ABYS), works to extend the competitive pathway for its players beyond traditional travel play in the Boston Area Youth Soccer league (BAYS). The Strikers United Management Team selected Korrio to take the operations of this new “club” program to the next level. In a few short years, the Strikers United program has grown to 13 teams, representing over 170 players. They have their act together in more ways than one.
Strikers United is a key piece in the overall ABYS strategy to broaden services. Strikers United represents a new initiative for those players who are keen to take another step in their personal development. The scope is to create and implement a professionally structured developmentally appropriate curriculum that will serve to improve all Strikers United players through a challenging and professionally delivered program.
“Our club brand is built upon providing professional coaching and a higher level of play. Our goal is to serve our players and families in way they have not experienced through a contemporary online platform. Korrio has just been tremendous in allowing better communication, scheduling, event RSVP and game day details. It even allows a place to store and share game day shots,” said Seth Tower, current Member of the Strikers United Management Team (SUMT) and former President of ABYS.
“I continue to be intrigued with what Korrio has built – everything from the relational database, flexible reporting and financial features. In addition to improving our communication, it decreases administration work dramatically, affording our staff more time on the field. And it just keeps getting better and better….”.
Strikers United players are exposed to innovative technology along with modern and consistently refreshed training ideas and innovations including Speed Agility and Quickness sessions (SAQ™), Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychosocial training, Video analysis for performance enhancement, confidence building, game strategy, nutrition and injury prevention education and ethical behaviors.
“We continue to push the boundaries within youth soccer in a comfortable and paced environment. Our results are measureable and we are always seeking ways to better the experience for our players,” said Mitch Doherty, Strikers United Director of Coaching.
Club goal: “Enjoyment is the unifying motive.”
