Mass Teams kick up efficiency, safety by making connections
While some parents look at their kid’s soccer games as an afternoon of cheering and passing out snacks to exhausted adolescents, one Seattle-based father viewed it as a prime business opportunity that will run many Massachusetts soccer fields in the upcoming season.
Steve Goldman started Korrio Inc. in 2009 to combine a professional interest in building technology services with a personal one in his children and their youth sports. After two years in “stealth mode,” and amassing $3.3 million in venture capital funds from the likes of former Microsoft CFO John Connors and ex-Starbucks exec Martin Coles, Goldman has scored sales from soccer associations from coast to coast.
