No More Squiggly Lines

Categories: , , , , , , , ,

We recently introduced an update to Korrio to replace the green squiggly lines with a dash. If a user is not supposed to see certain information, the system will just not display that information. We think this is simpler than showing you a page full of green squiggly lines. Please note that we did not make any changes to our privacy engine, that governs what users are allowed to see on a specific page. This update is merely a visual change.

This improvement is part of our ongoing commitment to improve the user experience for all of our members.

For more information on our Privacy, you can view Privacy Policy Details Helps Answer Member Questions.

Helpful Tips: Korrio Events – Use Description Field for Important Information

Categories: ,

When creating an event in Korrio, the Description field is a great tool to quickly communicate important information to your team(s). The Description field:

  • displays when you hover over the event on the Schedule Tab on both your personal or a specific team’s pages
  • displays on your mobile phone when a member synchs their Korrio Calendar with their phone

In the image below, the Team Manager provides information on the best place to park, as well as the field location. This is the image shown when a member hovers over the event on the Schedule Tab.

Helpful Tips: Teams Tab Season Dates

Categories: ,

On the Teams Tab of your Club’s Korrio site, there is drop down titled Season. These dates populate based on the Start and End Dates for each respective team, and aggregates them into a single “season.”

By keeping a consistent Team Start and End Date convention, you can quickly access your teams current and past.

Helpful Tips: Add Season Name to Past Teams

Categories: ,

Unlike registration only systems, Korrio is designed to be the center of a player and family’s sports life that captures the entire youth sports experience. 15 years from now, your members will be able to log in to their Korrio accounts to view past team mates and experiences, all in a single platform.

This is the reason why we capture prior season information on member accounts.

However, we understand that the current view can be a little confusing for returning players. To help your members have a great experience, add the season name in front of prior season teams. Leave the current season team name as the official team name. This is because the team name prints on rosters and player cards. It is also easier from a Team Shell Rollover perspective.

Take a look at what your users will see when you add the season name to past teams. Korrio places the newest team at the top (based on the date the player was added to the team).

We understand that the current season club and team information should be more prominent, and we plan to improve this in the longer-term.

Helpful Tips: Open a New Window or Tab in Your Browser

Categories: , , , , ,

Some of the work that you do requires looking at multiple pieces of information at once, or the completion of repetitive tasks. A simple tool to help you do your job faster is to open a new window or tab in your browser.

When you are searching for an individual or looking across multiple teams, instead of clicking on the link in Korrio, right click on the link. Your browser will display a dialogue box where you can elect to view the link in a new window or tab. After you’re finished, close the tab that you were looking at and return to the original page to right click on another link.

You are essentially using the first page as a table of contents!

Grade Based Registration

Categories: , ,

We have recently released a new feature that provides Clubs with the ability to register based on the grade of a player, rather than age. Follow the steps in the link below to enable grade based eligibility for player registration and team formation.

Playflow Features – Grade Eligibility

Please note that Grade based registration must be enabled at the club level and once enabled, will ask for the grade of a player for all registrations. This adds an extra step to the registration process for parents (see image below). It’s great when it is necessary, but a hassle if not. Thus grade based registration should be used if your club primarily rosters by the grade of a player.

Helpful Tips: Email Alerts and Korrio Messages

Categories: ,

You and your club’s members can use the “Email me when a member sends me a new message” alert and notification setting to receive an email in your email client such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Outlook. This is a useful feature early in a club’s transition to Korrio because parents are not yet accustomed to logging in to Korrio regularly to check messages and schedules. It’s new, and it will take time.

When you, or your member, receive the notification email in your email client, you must respond in Korrio. In each email, we provide a link in the email that will take you directly to the Korrio Message received, from which you can respond.

A common mistake is that people try to reply to the notification from their email client. The “reply to” email address in the notification email is a no reply email address, and will not be received by the initial Korrio Message sender.

We are currently working on a new feature called Integrated Messaging that will provide the capability to reply to that email. However we do not have an estimated time frame for completion. Please continue to monitor the Support Blog (Support Community) for updates on new features.
